Exhibited in 1872 at the South Kensington Museum (now the V&A) during an exhibition called ‘Ancient Musical Instruments’ and described as follows:

‘Another baton in ivory, 18th century, belonged to Mozart, with a musical score by this composer engraved along the wand.’
